Star-Lord's Helmet is an expanding partial helmet worn by Peter Quill.

History

When Star-Lord was on the planet Morag to obtain the Orb, he activated the helmet to escape from Korath the Pursuer.

The helmet was taken from Quill when he was imprisoned by the Nova Corps on the Kyln. During his escape, he retrieved it along with his other belongings. After retrieving his Walkman, he used the helmet to protect himself from the vacuum of space to get to the Milano.

When Gamora'southward pod was destroyed during the Skirmish on Knowhere, Quill put the helmet on Gamora to protect her from the vacuum of space until they were rescued by the Ravagers.

During the Battle of Xandar, Quill used the helmet during his fight with the Sakaarans.^[1]

During the Boxing on Sovereign, Quill used the helmet as protection while he attacked the Abilisk.

Quill once more used the helmet to face up his begetter, with him using it to browse the ever-shifting terrain. The helmet was destroyed when Ego threw Peter backwards, smashing and breaking it in 2 in the midst of the battle.^[two]

Past 2018, Quill had repaired the helmet for reuse, and continued to apply it in the boxing against Thanos. However, when Thanos assembled the consummate Infinity Gauntlet and wiped out one-half the universe, it was disintegrated along with Quill.^[iii]

The helmet was brought back after Star-Lord was resurrected past the Hulk. It was worn by Quill during the Boxing of Earth.^[four]

This helmet utilizes a wide array of capabilities. The ones that were exhibited by Star-Lord include:

Size-Altering: The helmet can be shrunk downwardly into a earpiece that is on the back of the user's correct ear, materializing into pixelated blue light.
Oxygen Purification: The helmet protects the wearer from toxic atmosphere.
- Back-Upwards Air Supply: The helmet provides oxygen for the wearer in the vacuum of space.
Force per unit area Back up: The helmet protects the wearer's face from sudden changes in air pressure.
Heads-Up Display: The helmet can foreshadow an enemy'due south attack.
